Business and accounting software plays a key role in the modern organisation. The extensive functionality of Synthesis SynPlus software is fully integrated in a clear logically structured user-menu. It is possible to define menu structures based on the needs of each individual or groups of users. It is therefore easier for the end-users to identify their processes through a simple, ‘private’ menu structure.

In a multi-user environment, SynPlus offers the option to define access rights to menu/program functions and companies for each user or group of users. This will allow you to separate duties and protect vital and confidential information.

SynPlus systems are all fully integrated, allowing the retrieval of information from anywhere in the system (provided that you have sufficient access rights). Double-click on the invoice transaction of a debtor statement and the system will take you directly to the originating invoice document. Skip to debtors, creditors or items cards/statements from almost anywhere in the system. Show un-posted or not interfaced documents on debtors/creditors statements or include them in their balances.

Against each and every program or group of programs, the system administrator can define its colour and appearance (labels, columns). For example you may want to have a specific colour for payments and another one for receipts.

All Synthesis SynPLus standard reports may be exported to a user created library. Subsequently these reports can be modified (reports, invoices, statements, etc) to cover your company’s specific needs. The users may create as many extra reports as they like by simply copying an existing design or creating a new one. These reports are then given user access rights, and made available to the users from within the SynPlus systems.

On almost any field, a ‘help line’ describes input options and a narrative explaining the use and the behaviour of that particular column. Furthermore list boxes and/or look up tables are available for every code allowing you to maintain the speed and the consistency of the information entered. Debtors, Creditors, Accounts and Items are located using several ways and columns.

SynPlus uses ‘Sybase SQL Anywhere’ which offers a powerful, stable and scalable database. Because of the open structure of the database, the integration with other systems is excellent. This makes it even easier to link SynPlus to other packages.

With SynPlus Client/Server systems, the software (using 32-bits Windows environment) is installed on the customer’s PC and the database is running on the central server. With this set-up, one user cannot cause delays for all the other network users. This increases software’s operational safety, speed and stability. Furthermore the transaction ‘roll back’ mechanism reverses the transaction being processed on a particular moment and disturbed by any event such as a power failure or a bad connection. This will prevent transactions of being stored incomplete and will ensure the consistency of the information stored in your database.

Data validation and/or backup can be performed from your SynPlus system without having to stop the server (engine) or the users from using the system. These processes can be run any time of the day or even scheduled to be executed at a later stage (night backup). At the same time, databases log files may be kept one the same or any other computer on the network.
